Naviair Partners with InterForce

Naviair has become an official support company of InterForce, an organisation affiliated with the Danish Defence Command that works to strengthen cooperation between businesses, the Armed Forces and the emergency services. InterForce places particular emphasis on supporting companies whose employees, alongside their civilian careers, serve in the Reserve Force.

The Reserve Force consists of both men and women serving as reservists in the Danish Armed Forces. It also includes volunteers from the Danish Home Guard, the Danish Emergency Management Agency and the Danish Coastal Rescue Service.

The partnership was officially marked on Friday, 5 April, when InterForce Ambassador Jens Jørgen Hansen presented the InterForce shield to Acting CTO Sten Bertram Winther.

As part of the agreement, Naviair employees who serve as reservists or volunteer with the Home Guard or emergency services are now entitled to up to five days of paid leave each year to complete military or emergency service duties or attend training.

"We want to help strengthen Denmark's preparedness and security, which is a natural extension of Naviair's role in society as a provider of critical infrastructure for aviation. At the same time, we want to support those employees who take on additional responsibilities and step forward when they are needed. In return, Naviair also benefits from the valuable skills and experience our colleagues gain through their training and service in the Reserve Force," says Sten Bertram Winther.
